Diese sind die Anfallskontrolle, Fahrverbote und die Entscheidung, ob sie ihre Epilepsie offenlegen wollen oder nicht.<\/p><p><strong>Kontrolle von Anf\u00e4llen<\/strong>:<\/p><p>Es besteht ein Konsens dar\u00fcber, dass Anf\u00e4lle erhebliche Auswirkungen auf das Leben der Menschen haben und ihre Arbeitsf\u00e4higkeit aufgrund der Unvorhersehbarkeit und der damit verbundenen Risiken (St\u00fcrze, Verletzungen) beeintr\u00e4chtigen.<\/p><p>Die Arbeitgeber:innen m\u00fcssen verstehen, wie wichtig die Anfallskontrolle und damit einhergehend die Identifikation von Ausl\u00f6sern ist, damit Menschen mit Epilepsie ein normales Leben f\u00fchren und effektiv arbeiten sollen.<\/p><p><strong>Fahrverbote<\/strong>:<\/p><p>Gesetzliche Fahrverbote aufgrund von Epilepsie wirken sich auf die Berufswahl und die Transportm\u00f6glichkeiten von Menschen mit Epilepsie aus. Ein erschwerter Zugang zum Arbeitsplatz kann die berufliche Integration behindern.<\/p><p>Eine Reihe von Ma\u00dfnahmen kann dazu beitragen, diese Schwierigkeiten zu beseitigen:<\/p><ul><li>Beurteilung der Fahrt\u00fcchtigkeit von Fall zu Fall unter Ber\u00fccksichtigung der individuellen Situation, um das Fahren entsprechend der Schwere der Epilepsie einzuschr\u00e4nken.<\/li><li>Durchf\u00fchrung von Ma\u00dfnahmen, die den Zugang zu \u00f6ffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln zu erm\u00e4\u00dfigten Preisen erm\u00f6glichen.<\/li><li>Suche nach geeigneten L\u00f6sungen, um den Mangel an \u00f6ffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in l\u00e4ndlichen Gebieten auszugleichen.<\/li><\/ul><p>Auch die Arbeitgeber:innen m\u00fcssen sich dieser Schwierigkeiten bewusst sein und sich auf Arbeitnehmer:innen mit Fahrbeschr\u00e4nkungen einstellen, indem sie beispielsweise folgende L\u00f6sungen vorschlagen:<\/p><ul><li>Vermittlung von Fahrgemeinschaften mit Kolleg:innen f\u00fcr Fahrten zwischen Wohnung und Arbeitsplatz.<\/li><li>Gestattung von Homeoffice, wann immer dies m\u00f6glich ist.<\/li><li>Die Person sollte in eine Position versetzt werden, in der das Fahren nicht erforderlich ist.<\/li><li>Der Zeitplan der Person sollte so angepasst werden, dass die Nutzung \u00f6ffentlicher Verkehrsmittel m\u00f6glich ist.<\/li><li>Die Person kann einem Kollegen zugeteilt werden, der Fahrten zu Veranstaltungen oder Arbeitstreffen \u00fcbernimmt.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Offenlegung<\/strong>:<\/p><p>Menschen mit Epilepsie stehen vor einem Problem, das alle Menschen mit unsichtbaren Behinderungen betrifft: die Entscheidung ob sie ihre Epilepsie offenbaren sollen oder nicht. Geringes Selbstwertgef\u00fchl, Stigmatisierung und Angst vor beruflichen Konsequenzen sind alles Faktoren, die von einer Offenlegung abhalten. Menschen mit Epilepsie haben von F\u00e4llen berichtet, in denen die Offenlegung ihrer Krankheit w\u00e4hrend eines Vorstellungsgespr\u00e4chs zur Ablehnung einer Stelle f\u00fchrte. Ebenso k\u00f6nnte die Offenlegung nach der Einstellung die Bef\u00f6rderungschancen beeintr\u00e4chtigen.<\/p><p>Es wird jedoch empfohlen, sich fr\u00fchzeitig zu melden, um das Verst\u00e4ndnis und die Anpassung zu erleichtern, anstatt eine Entlassung zu riskieren, wenn man in Krisenzeiten nichts sagt.<\/p><p>Organisationen wie Epilepsy Ireland bieten Ressourcen an, um Menschen mit Epilepsie bei ihrer Entscheidung zur Offenlegung zu unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p><p>Ab der Einstellungsphase muss der:die k\u00fcnftige Arbeitgeber:in eine Rolle bei der Schaffung eines gerechten Umfelds und der Bek\u00e4mpfung von Diskriminierung spielen, um die Offenlegung der Epilepsie zu f\u00f6rdern und so die Umsetzung notwendiger Anpassungen zu unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p><p><strong><em>Reflektierende \u00dcbung<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p><strong><em>Eine der Herausforderungen f\u00fcr Menschen mit Epilepsie besteht darin, ihre Behinderung offenzulegen, weil sie bef\u00fcrchten, stigmatisiert zu werden.
