Introduction
This module is all about choosing a career for people with epilepsy. After instructional explanations, you are repeatedly encouraged to reflect on yourself, your professional wishes, goals and limitations, and thereby also look for potential solutions and perspectives. The first section is about your own professional wishes. In the second section, these wishes are linked to the limiting factors of your epilepsy. In the third and last section we look at the role of legal frameworks, governmental support and counseling.
Learning Objectives:
- You will be guided and encouraged to progressively reflect on your professional aspirations and limitations resulting from your epilepsy.
- The importance of both legal boundaries but also safeguards for people with epilepsy in professional life is explained to you.
- You will learn about the importance of counseling services and networking of people with epilepsy for successful career orientation.
The module includes in total 3 sections.
Duration of the module in hours/minutes (approximately): 60 minutes working time (working through the content); additional application time (tasks, implementation in every-day activities, etc.)
