For individuals living with epilepsy, navigating the job market can be challenging due to the misconceptions and stigma surrounding the condition. However, it is crucial to remember that having epilepsy does not define a person’s abilities or potential.
Most people with epilepsy can control their seizures through effective anti-seizure medicines, and lead full and active lives. People with epilepsy can also perform the vast majority of jobs, although career choice will require individual assessment and consideration of seizure pattern, frequency and relevant safety issues. Local laws may also limit career choices for people with epilepsy e.g. driving bans. You can read our earlier modules of finding the most suitable job.
